In this fifth exhibition by the Kollective group, which began on the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts’ Time and Space Arts study programme, the various works conduct a mutual dialogue. Here taking photographs also becomes a performative gesture, and pictures turn into multi-layered stories.

The group’s members are young artists of the new generation who use photography: Ville Andersson, Jonna Kina, Iiris-Lilja Kuosmanen, Aleksi Linnamaa, Laura Paavilainen, Jarkko Räsänen, Saku Soukka and Filippo Zambon.

The exhibition is a part of the Helsinki Photography Biennial 2012 program. The theme for HPB12 is urbanity. www.hpb.fi
